William Murray was born in Neston, Bekenhead , Cheshire in 1881. He enlisted on the 15th February 1901, serving at home to 5th April 1901, South Africa to 27th August 1902, and home to 3rd September 1902. His MIC confirms his WW1 entitlement serving in the Army Service Corps, landing in France on the 13th December 1914.
