Description Egypt 1882 pair, Commissariat and Transport Corps (also entitled to a South Africa, clasp 1879) Egypt, 1882 reverse, clasp, Suakin 1885, 3035 Corp Farr H. Brown 8th C & TC.; Khedives Star 1882. (Court mounted for display with South Africa ribbon) Henry Brown was born in Wokingham, Berkshire in 1854. He enlisted on the 12th June 1872 , becoming a shoeing smith on the 1st November 1882, Farrier Corporal on 2nd August 1884, 3rd class St Sgt (as Farrier) on 29th July 1888, then St. Sgt Farrier on 1st February 1889. Convicted of drunkeness and reduced to Corporal, 12th November 1890. discharged 22nd December 1890. Died 4th quarter 1924. Wokingham. His entitlement to the South Africa 1879 clasp is confirmed in his service papers.
