Description Naval Long Service and Good Conduct – H.M.S. Hyperion. Naval Long Service and Good Conduct (Geo VI) K.62901 R.S. Woodland. S.P.O. H.M.S. Hyperion. Reginald Sherman Woodland was born in Reading, Berkshire on the 8th June 1905. He enlisted on the 13th November 1923 serving on various ships and shore establishments, including, HMS Lucia, Dolphin, Renown, Resource, Osprey, St Angelo 2, Nile, Malaya, Ferret, and Hyperion. He was on Hyperion 3rd December 1936 to to 1st June 1940 During WW2 he also served on Malaya to 25th December 1940 and Burwell to he was invalided on the 28th September 1943. Condition – NEF, except for a couple of small edge nicks at apron 6 o’clock.
