Description Scarce Africa General Service, Kenya – Officer in the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry. Africa General Service, clasp, kenya, 2/Lt G. Simpson . K.S.L.I. Graham Simpson joined the army for National Service in 1953, an officer cadet at Eaton Hall, Chester. Commissioned K.S.L.I. 10th July 1954. Platoon Commander – OC 2 Platoon, A company, 1st Battalion K.S.L.I. Present at the presentation of the new colours to 1/KSLI in Gottingen, Germany. He commanded his platoon in Kenya, and on completion of his National Service he transferred to the Territorial Army as a 2nd Lieut in the Herefordshire Light Infantry, 7th November 1955. Acting Lieut 8th March 1956. Transferred to Royal Berkshire Regiment T.A. 1st February 1962, and resigned his commission on the 1st October 1964. We are informed that there is a photograph of him in the Regimental Journal, October 1957. Condition – NEF
