Building on the success of the compact SilverBase film processor for 35mm and 120 B&W film, JOBO is proud to introduce the SilverBase Expert Sheet Film Processor, the perfect choice for the B&W sheet film shooter seeking a more compact, minimalist alternative to the larger and more expensive CPP-3 color processor. As the name indicates, the SilverBase Expert's powerful motor is able to drive drive the large JOBO Expert Drum developing tanks (sold separately). Similar to CPP-3 color processor with the JOBO Lift, all JOBO tanks and drums with a cog lid can be connected to the SilverBase Expert, including a fully loaded JOBO Expert Drum 5 or the paper drum #3063 for 20x24 inch prints. Unlike the smaller 35mm/120 SilverBase, which attaches to the tank via a magnet on the bottom and requires the user to remove the tank in order to fill it, the SilverBase Expert allows chemistry to be poured directly into the rotating drum. This ensures absolutely uniform film development across the entire film surface, even with large sheet films. Because they do not feature a temperature-controlled water jacket, the SilverBase and SilverBase Expert are primarily aimed at B&W film shooters. JOBO rotary development is superior to any roller transporter or leader card machine, providing the reproducible results of one-shot processing while avoiding all the hassle of replenishing of chemicals. This makes the JOBO process easier and more consistent than even dip-and-dunk machines in use by some professional labs.
