Description The Historic Fortification Preservation Handbook was prepared by the Pacific Northwest Preservation Partnership consisting of representatives from the National Park Service, the University of Oregon and Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. The principal authors were David Hansen, Kimberly Keagle and Deborah Rehn. The handbook was published by Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission in 2003. The book covers a short introduction to using the handbook, provides and overall architectural assessment, the covers a number of problems and treatment of the concrete and brick structures that make up the fortification structures in the US. This book is a great resource for those charged with the preservation of these structures. The CDSG has obtained the remaining printed copies of these books and is offering them for sale at $15 to cover mailing expenses. print
