Description Royal Berkshire (later RAOC) WW2 group. Burma Star, 5330749 WO1 J Howard RAOC; Defence Medal, 5330749 WO1 J Howard RAOC; 1939-45 war Medal, 5330749 WO1 J Howard RAOC; Long Service & Good Conduct (Regular Army) 5330749 Pte J Howard . R. Berks.R.; Sporting Fob (Silver) J. Howard Marathon April 13th 1914. (Medals swing mounted as worn) Research has confirmed that 5330749 Pte Jack Howard served in the 1st battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment served during WW1 receiving a pair, plus and India General Service, clasp Waziristan 1921-24 and would have also received a 1939-45 Star. It is apparent that the first half of the group was probably mounted as a group of four, with the second half of his service being represented in this group. His LSGC was awarded in 1940, and given his age he has then transferred to the RAOC for his WW2 service. Condition – NEF, except fob which is GVF
