More than 70 bridges were built during the Basingstoke Canal’s construction to preserve rights of way or reconnect divided land. Many have since been removed, rebuilt or fell in the abandoned 5 miles of the canal between Greywell Tunnel and Basingstoke. With photos and old maps from the Basingstoke Canal Society’s archives, this book brings back memories of 25 “lost” bridges and explains their fate. A5, 32 pages, colour and black & white photos. Price includes P&P.
