Description Here is a wonderful example of U.S. Army WWI helmet as worn by a man in the Headquarters IV Army Corps. Though the helmet had lost most of the leather liner, the helmets exterior is incredibly nice with a period paint job made to look like a German camouflage helmet. This helmet displays great and is very rare in regards of WWI painted helmets. Note – The IV Corps was a corps-sized formation of the United States Army that saw service in World War I. During World War I it was part of the American Expeditionary Forces under Major General Charles H. Muir serving on the Western Front, as Headquarters IV Army Corps. It participated in the offensives of St. Mihiel and Lorraine.
