Model 1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger – (WKC, Solingen)

Description Great M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch) by (WKC, of Solingen). The blade on this one is near mint with some near perfect cross graining remaining. The etched WKC Knight logo remains clear and dark, the blade has a perfect tip and solid fit to the fittings and grip with no signs of being sharpened. The scabbard has great uncleaned patina, unfortunately there is a whiskey dent at the tip of the scabbard, but everything else is fantastic and this does not affect the blade at all. The burnished eagle crossguard has nice detail to the eagles head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The trylon y, the springy aluminum wire wrap remains tightly intact. Great example of one of the earlier examples of the 2nd pattern Luft daggers produced by WKC, these are far more uncommon to find than their Heer (Army) counterparts by this company.
