Japanese Army/Navy Pilot Bail Out Float Flag w/ Pole

Description This is a rare accessories carried by all Japanese Navy and Army pilots operating over water during WWII. This is a telescoping flag with kapok sewn into the four edges to make the flag float in case the pilot went in the ocean, the telescopic pole could be extended out and be waved around while in the water. These were carried in the flight suit collapsed with easy access. Flag measures 38 x 30 unfolded and has no damage or tears. When folded and retracted the whole assembly is about 8 inches long, fantastic set that is very displayable.
