Waffen-SS M40 Overseas Cap ‘Schiffchen’ – (Dutch Made)

Description Stellar example of a Waffen-SS M40 overseas cap ‘Schiffchen’ as worn by an Enlisted Man/NCO. Nice large size with originally sewn BeVo Eagle and Totenkopf skull. The exterior is a grey tricot wool with a green colored rayon like lining, the cap shows clear signs of being worn. Though it is faint there is a makers mark semi visible. Everything from the materials used on the lining and exterior, the shape, and even the method the insignia is sewn all point to this cap being occupation produced, more than likely Dutch. Overall a fantastic piece of SS headgear!
