Description This is a Prussian reserve infantry officer’s pickelhaube, dating back to the pre-war period of 1900-1910. It boasts a high-quality leather body with some minor surface imperfections, most notably on the left side but with no loss of leather. The helmet’s furniture, including the wappen, chinscales, base, officer stars, spike, back strap, and front visor trim, are all made of brass. The correct Reich and state kokarden are also in place. The interior of the helmet features a dark brown leather sweatband showing normal wear, as well as a gold smooth silk liner. The front plate shows the Prussian emblem with a small cross to the center indicating this man would’ve been in the reserve Infantry. Fantastic example that’s well over 100 years old!
