Incredible German WWI Grouping from U.S. 4th Division Veteran

Description One of the best things I’ve found recently was this WWI grouping to a German soldier. These items have sat undiscovered in the basement foundation of a local house in my small home town. This group consists of a rare maker marked 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, a 55th Infantry Regiment shoulder strap, and an amazing 1916 German Army helmet in size 66, produced by Quist. The liner leather has since gone to time but the band and pins are untouched. The exterior has never been cleaned and shows a mud like camouflage that was added during the war. These items were brought home by Pvt. George W. Adlington, Headquarters Company, in the 4th Infantry Division. These items have never been in a collection, they are all untouched and have been together for over 100 years! Top set for any display!
